Students who have finished K, 1st, or 2nd grade will be introduced to robotics in this fun adventure. Students will build LEGO models featuring working motors and sensors; program their models; and participate in related activities.

Students will learn to program LEGO Mindstroms robots. This camp is for students with no FLL or LEGO Mindstorms programming experience who have finished 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, or 7th grade. Stduents will work in small groups to program LEGO robots and build robot attachments to complete specific challenges. There will be an exhibition tournament on Friday of camp week.

Students will create a new video game each day while learning basic programming structures like if/then branching, loops, and random number generators. Some projects will include creative vector and bit-map art. Physics concepts like opposing forces, rebounding angles, and gravity will help make the games feel more real. Targeting students who have finished 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade. (Students who have just finished 2nd grade and have successfully completed our WeDo camp are welcome also!)
